Guest Email + Business Spotlight

Hey! It is so good to see you! (Virtually, at least 😜) How are you doing? Let's get started with the guest email! My lovely friend, Molly McTernan, and I are doing an email list swap! The Life of a Lamp

Have you ever felt ashamed or afraid? Have you ever gotten tired of living your life set apart? Have you ever felt like you might want to hide your light?

The life of someone who follows Jesus is not an easy one, and it wasn’t meant to be so. In fact, John 15:18 (ESV) says “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.”

Yes, it can be exhausting at times. Yes, it will cause us to do things out of our comfort zone. Yes, it means choosing God above all else. However, we are called to shine our light into this dark, broken world.

Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV) says “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Maybe you are a musician, writer, or artist. Maybe you like to take walks, talk to others, or teach. In all that you do, I encourage you to continue to shine your light; it isn’t meant to be hidden under a basket.

In closing, I hope that you always remember to live like a lamp on a stand - so that others may give glory to our Father.
