It's Mayyyy! Time is flying by so quickly, but I'm not complaining about the warmth. xD
Writing Update
Eyyy! So I attempted Camp NaNoWriMo last month, which is a month where you set a goal wordcount for yourself and try to reach it. I set a goal of 10,000 words, and even though my very low expectations for myself, I actually made the wordcount goal!
Which I was very happy and surprised about. π (I had to cram in 2,000 words in the last 2 days of April, but hey, it still counts xD)
Life Update
It's β¨final exam seasonβ¨. Which, you know, isn't stressful at all.
So that's been going around in my life. I've just been studying, listening to music, and reading, which really isn't that bad of a combination if you ask me. π
I also finished the LoTR series, which I'll talk about more below! I can't believe I finished it xDD.
From My Playlist
That being said, I listened to some amazing music this past monthhh.
- Alone (feat. Tru) by Hollyn | I love Hollyn's music, so I tried this song out and was not disappointed.
- UP! by Forrest Frank and Connor Price | This song is so catchy, y'all. His songs are Christian and capture a more modern song vibe? Idk how to explain it, but his songs are good. π
- Mr. Feel by John Michael Howell | This song gives me such happy vibes for some reason. My friend recommended it to me, and while we do not have similar music tastes, I really liked this song.
On My Bookshelf
I did some reading this past monthhhh! Very proud of myself hehe.
- Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien | This one I read faster than the first book, and I really enjoyed it!
- The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien |
Yes, I finished the rest of the series this past month xD. I think this was my favourite out of the whole trilogy. There was more action and it felt a bit more fast-paced. Also, Sam is definitely one of my fav characters in this trilogy. xD (If you've read LoTR, what was your fav book?)
- As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow | This book. Oh my goodness. It was about these two young people in Syria, who find love amongst the hopelessness, and wonder what's the right move to make among the death and the fighting. Anyways, it was amazing. xD
My Thoughts on LoTR: I don't think I'll ever be as into it as other people will be, but I really, really loved this book series. It was incredibly well written, and the world-building was unbelievable. I found it a bit hard to get through, as it was a bit slow, but reading these books were so worth it. Tolkien's a genius.

I also did do some baking, but it was all things I had already made before, so no baking sections this time around hehe.
Anywhooo that's it for this email! Thank you so much for reading, and I'll see you next month!
