November 2023 Newsletter!

Hello, hello! It is now November! My favourite month of the year! Okay, not really, but kind of, because it's my birth month.

We're not a major-birthday-celebration family anyway, so we probably won't do too much.

Anyways! It's already been a month! So it's time for November's Email!

𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞

Soo I've actually been working on that new WIP a lot! I'm surprising myself, but I've been working at it every day now and I'm so excited about it. It's romance! I love romance so much, but I have friends who hate reading or writing it. xD

And I am not doing NaNoWriMo this year, simply because it was a lot of stress last year and I'm writing this WIP at a much slower pace that I'm enjoying.

𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞

Life Update. The only thing I can think of right now is homework and studying for tests, which is just sad.

I've also had zero motivation to do both, which has been an amazing combination.

However, it is already November, which means the time is going by quicker than I thought it would be.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭

Andd it's music time! Sometimes, I struggle with thinking up of my life/writing updates, or book/movie suggestions, but with music, I never struggle. The music just comes up into my brain xDD

What music have you been listening to this past month?

• ​mandela effect by shimon (He's on Spotify only, which is kinda sad, but he's one of my friends in real life and his songs are sad, romance breakup songs, which I seem to enjoy for some reason. So if you like the guitar aesthetic songs, you'll like his songs xD)
• Ghost Town by New Rules (I'm telling y'all. This band is heavily underrated, in my opinion, and I love their music so much. Go listen to them.)
• Back 2 Back by Seventeen (I am not joking, my friend listened to the first three seconds of this song and immediately hated it. Which I find ridiculous because my other friends and I all love it. So let me know who you agree with 😂)

(Also, mini question: would me adding links to the songs in the email be more helpful? Yea or nay?)

𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐚

Movies and TV Shows! I adore movies and everything to do with them. I actually hadn't watched too many movies lately, which is why I haven't done this in a while, but now I've watched quite a few!

• God's Not Dead (I watched this with some of my friends! I really, really loved it. I predicted the plot twist, like, 30 seconds before it happened, which I honestly think is impressive. 😂)
• Barbie (Whoo...Okay, it wasn't that bad, but it's definitely not going on my Top 10 Movies List. It was quite controversial and not that worth it. Would I watch it again though? Yes.)
• Cruella (I watched this on a 10-hour flight and it was amazing. A part of it might have been that I had really low expectations, but this was really, really good. The fashion in this movie was impeccable.)

𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐥

Heyyyy! So one last surprise little section! I'm part of a Street Team for an anthology, and the cover was revealed! Two days ago, so I'm late, but we're going to ignore that. And here's a message from my friend about this anthology! She's also part of the anthology, so she knows a lot more about it than I do. 😂

I have a friend, Valari Westeren, who is a student of The Author Conservatory, a college-alternative program that teaches both writing and business skills so that aspiring authors can learn how to financially support themselves as they pursue their writing dreams. She and eight of her classmates are getting ready to launch a short story anthology as a capstone project for all they've been learning. And it's now available to preorder!

One fun fact about this anthology: 100% of your purchases (including preorders) go to supporting young writers and helping them attend writing conferences where they can meet with agents and publishers.
