{September 2024 - Going to a New School and Memesssss!}

September 2024

September 2024 Newsletter!

It's September! How have you all been doing? Time is flying by so quickly helpppp xDD

Writing Update

I actually wrote a bit this month! A couple of poems here and there, as well as just some writing in general. Definitely not as much as I wanted to write, but ey, that was a bit expected.

Life Update

So I had my first day of school at my new school yesterday! It was. . . okay? I had reallyy low expectations so my first day was definitely better than that, but it still feels just really weird to not be at my old school. *fp*

Do you have any experience with being the new kid? If so, any tips? I need them. xDD

From My Playlist

But apparently, going to a school means you need motivation, and one of the best sources for it is music, so I listened to great music this month.

  • always, i'll care by Jeremy Zucker | Found this on a study playlist and it's just a great song.
  • Live While We're Young by Young Direction | Okay so I already knew this song, but I discovered it and the memories it gave me are indescribable. xD
  • Stronger Than by Gabe Bondoc | This song just gives me the vibessss. It's too good. Oh this is also from that study playlist.

Okay, I've realized while writing this that this study playlist is just too good for me to keep it to myself. This legit helped me focus so I recommend it hehe. Here it issss. And lmk what you think! ->

On My Bookshelf

I did some reading this past month! I also have a lot of unfinished books that I shall hopefully finish soon. xD But for now, here are my recent reads!

  • The Family Romanov: Murder, Rebellion, and the Fall of Imperial Russia by Candace Fleming | Okay so that title was a nightmare to write but it was an insightful book on the Romanovs, a family that I had only vaguely known about. Welp, now I know a whole lot more. It's also written in an immersive way so I recommend it hehe.
  • At Bertram's Hotel by Agatha Christie | This was good! I've read better Agatha Christie books, and I do like Hercule Poirot more than Miss Marple anyway xD. And Miss Marple was not the main character at all. But it was good! Did not see the ending coming haha.
  • I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World | Why did I read books with such long titles. Um. Yeah so this was on my required reading list for school, but I accidentally bought the young readers version? I don't know how the other one is, but this one was pretty good! I think I might have liked the other one better though.
  • The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson | Andddd this one! Has a backstory xDD. My friend was telling me quite often that I should read this, so I gave in and read it and while it did take me a few months, it was amazing, and I finished it last July. This friend of mine is actually on my email list, and she noticed that I had finished it in July but it wasn't in my monthly email. And so when we were calling, she made this lovely piece of artwork down below. Ey I made it and it's in the email. She must be very proud of me. xDDD What do you think of the meme? Because I think it's gold. Lmk what you think and I'll pass it on to her.

Anywhoooo! Before I end this email, I want to point you guys towards another email list! My lovely friend Honora Reese has an email list that is lovely and I always enjoy reading, so go check her out!

And now it's the end. Thank you so much for reading!

Thank youuuu!
